Well, so you need an engine. Maybe some fool ran yours without oil. Or perhaps you just put so many fun miles on your Suburban that it's time.
We have quality OEM or rebuilt engines for you. Sometimes known as "crate" engines (because they are ready to install right out of the crate), rebuilt or OE engines provide the quality you and your Chevy Suburban deserve.
When a rebuilder refurbishes an engine, here's what happens. First he or she removes all plugs, then cleans all components. Next he or she inspects the oil galleys to make sure, after the engine is rebuilt, oil gets pumped to all parts. He or she checks the block for cracks, then re-bores the cylinders up to the next size. Next s/he installs new sprockets and bearings, replaces the rings and pistons, re-grinds the camshaft, replaces all seals and plugs, and installs a new timing belt or chain. They also install new rocker arms, push rods and lifters, and a new or re-built oil pump.
Cylinder head work includes resurfacing the valves and installing new valve guides. S/he then vacuum tests and pressure tests the head, then cleans the engine again before reassembly. Next s/he re-adjusts the valves, and finally, checks the compression and oil pressure. Final inspection includes checking for oil leaks and listening for unusual noises.
With all of this, you end up with a professionally refurbished, high-quality, rebuilt engine that will give you years of power and many miles of enjoyable driving in your Suburban.
