Selling your Suburban? It doesn't have to be a hassle. In fact it can be a relatively hassle-free experience. How? By using the internet.
Many internet sales sites offer you virtually unlimited space to describe your Suburban. This means you can get down to minute details about the condition and the selling points of your vehicle. You can even describe how versatile your Suburban is, with room for as many as nine passengers and luggage, plus the power to tow a sizeable trailer. You can brag about its "carry anything, go anywhere" reputation. You can help your potential buyers visualize driving their newly-acquired Suburban, parking it in their driveway, or taking it on vacation.
The same goes for pictures: you can put numerous pictures on internet sales sites; there is space for enough pictures to cover virtually every aspect of your Suburban, including a couple of shots from the front, a few side shots, and shots of the luggage rack. Don't forget the interior: show what great shape the upholstery is in, take a couple of shots of the front bucket seats, the middle three-person seat, and the rear seat. Show any unusual lights you have installed.
Usually, when you run a newspaper ad, you get three or four lines and no pictures. (Of course, you could take out a large ad and add pictures but it would cost you a fortune - and eat up any extra money you hope to gain by selling your Suburban.)
There are other advantages to internet advertising. When you run an internet ad, you can add to it or change the information any time you want and however many times you want. You do this from your home PC at no additional cost. Your ad runs for as long as your Suburban is for sale. In other words, unlike a print ad that you have to renew every few days, your internet is available to potential buyers to see for as long as you still own your Suburban. Also, an internet ad is often picked up by other publications and news sources like MSN and in newspapers that have websites. Used and new car publications may also run it. So this point is: you get a lot of exposure locally but also from practically anywhere in the world via the internet. If you compare this coverage to normal newspaper coverage - well, there is no comparison.
Remember to wash and clean your Suburban inside and out before putting it up for sale and before taking pictures. Take the time to make the vehicle appear flawless. A little time spent cleaning, fixing, and polishing can literally mean hundreds of dollars in your pocket that would not normally be there.
So take advantage of internet selling. It is a whole new world of sales opportunities that did not formerly exist. You will be glad you did because you will most likely sell your Suburban easier and quicker. And you may even get more than your asking, but you will never know until you give it a try.
